Kristen Kohl has been a successful entrepreneur in Florida for over 25 years. She has extensive experience in real estate, property management, and the beauty industry, and is president of three post-secondary schools that work with federal agencies. With a wide background in all facets of business, her strengths are business management, team building, budgeting and overall compliance, and regulatory and finance obligations. Kristen was born in Greece to a native Greek mother and an American father who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Milwaukee for business administration. In 1990, she moved to Florida and earned her optician license. Her first venture as an entrepreneur was purchasing her mother’s salon, after only three months of working there. By 1998, she had built and designed the Imperial Salon and Spa in Suntree, Florida. The upscale 10,000-square-foot salon was the first of its kind in Brevard County. In 2010, Kristen opened her second location, Imperial Salon and Spa II in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida. Only a year later, she opened her first post-secondary cosmetology academy, The Salon Professional Academy located in Melbourne, Florida. In 2017, she opened The Salon Professional Academy in Delray Beach, Florida, and in 2019, she opened the Elevate Salon Institute in South Beach, Florida. In opening these schools, Kristen worked with several federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Education, National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS), the Florida Department of Education, and the Veteran’s Administration. The schools are fully accredited and offer financial aid and scholarships. Kristen continues to pursue her entrepreneurial goals. Most recently, in 2020, she opened her first luxurious riverfront resort in Cocoa Beach for family getaways, retreats, and weddings. Kristen believes in giving back to the community. Her passion is Promise of Brevard, an organization that empowers people with cognitive and physical disabilities to gain independence in their lives. Kristen is grateful for the mentors who have taught her the value of perseverance and remaining positive through all of life’s challenges. Her advice to those seeking purpose in their lives is to “Find your passion, which is your most important responsibility. Once you do, be diligent, forthright, and focused. It’s called living in your purpose…the sweet spot!”

Mindy is originally from Naugatuck, Connecticut and moved to sunny Florida in 2014, at which time she joined the Imperial Salon and Spa team. She is an extremely skilled stylist in color, men and women's cuts and much more with over 20 years of experience. Her certifications include Redken Color Specialist, Paul Mitchell Color and Cutting training, Matrix Color and Cutting. Part of being an exceptional stylist is listening to your client's needs and creating that special style that client's can manage at home. In her spare time she enjoys shopping, crafts and traveling. Her favorite quote is, "Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get."

Nanci is a passionate hairstylist with a love for all things beauty and beachside living. Specializing in flawless blowouts and expert blonding services, she’s also known for creating stunning bridal updos and offering top-quality coloring servcies. When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll find her soaking up the sun, dancing to her favorite music, exploring new food spots, or indulging in a little retail therapy. Nanci brings creativity, skill, and a fun-loving energy to every appointment, helping clients look and feel their best.

Ana brings years of professional training and hands-on experience to every appointment. Ana earned her Master Certification in Balayage and Blonde techniques in Colombia. Ana specializes in a full range of professional hair extension methods, including K-Tip, I-Tip, weft, genius weft, tape-in, and V-Light extensions. With a background in biology, her curious mind inevitably focused on making natural cosmetics, which is why she decided to become an esthetician. After graduation Lu launched her career working in spas. She takes a calm and relaxing approach customizing each service for all her clients. She stays educated on all the latest techniques. Lu is also known for her proficient waxing treatments. Known to bring loving laughs she also adds a heartwarming touch to every interaction, making everyone feel welcome and cared for.

Summer is our bubbly and bright front desk coordinator who can always lighten your mood with her warm smile and loving energy. Known as a great listener, she’s always ready to brighten your day with a friendly smile. When she’s not at the front desk, Summer loves art, crafts, and shopping—always adding a splash of creativity and fun to her day.

Sedona is our senior front desk coordinator, known for her passion and professionalism in keeping everything running smoothly. On her journey to becoming an accountant, she brings dedication and a friendly smile to every interaction. Outside of work, Sedona loves lacrosse, traveling, and baking delicious treats.

Sara is an aspiring cosmetologist currently training to perfect her skills, with a special passion for blonding services and extensions. She’s dedicated to mastering the latest techniques to help clients achieve their dream looks. Outside of school, Sara stays active by working out and loves spending time at the beach, where she finds inspiration for her creativity.
